I look forward to hearing from you.
|---|---|---|---|
Subject line | Request for a Quotation |
Greeting / Salutation | Dear Mr. Smith, |
Opening | Thank you for your email. |
Closing | I look forward to hearing from you. |
Sign-off | Best regards, |
Signature | Taro Yamada / ABC Corporation |
Subject: Request for a Quotation ← ①件名
Dear Mr. Smith, ← ②宛名
Thank you for your email. ← ③
We are interested in your new product and ← ④本文
would like to receive a quotation for 100 units.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards, ← ⑥結語
Taro Yamada ← ⑦署名
ABC Corporation
Thank you for your email.(メールありがとうございます)やI hope you are doing well.(お元気でお過ごしのことと思います)に置き換えるか、いっそ省略して用件から始めましょう。
|---|---|---|
| Dear Mr. Smith, | ★★★ |
| Dear Ms. Brown, | ★★★ |
| Dear Dr. Lee, | ★★★ |
| Dear Professor Tanaka, | ★★★ |
| Dear John, | ★★☆ |
| Hello John, | ★★☆ | Hi
⭕ Dear Mr. Smith, ← Mr. +
Chris Jordan Taylor
⭕ Dear Chris Miller,
⭕ Dear Taylor Jones,
|---|---|
| Dear Sir or Madam, |
| To Whom It May Concern, | 「
| Dear Customer Service Team, |
| Dear Hiring Manager, |
| Dear Sales Team, |
⭕ Hi everyone, ←
⭕ Dear Team, ←
⭕ Dear Mr. Smith and Ms. Brown, ← 2〜3
|---|---|
| Dear Mr. Smith**,** |
| Dear Mr. Smith**:** |
Thank you for … |
I hope you are doing well. |
|---|---|
| Thank you for your email. | |
| Thank you for your prompt reply. | |
| Thank you for getting back to me.
| Thank you for your inquiry. | |
| Thank you for sending the documents. | |
| Thank you for taking the time to meet with me yesterday. | |
| Thank you for your patience. | |
| Many thanks for your help with the report. | |
💡
Thanks for your email. Thank you for your email.
|---|---|
| I am writing to inquire about your services. | |
| I am writing to ask about the delivery date. | |
| I am writing to confirm our meeting on Friday. | |
| I am writing to follow up on my previous email. | |
| I am writing to let you know that the schedule has changed. | |
| I am writing regarding the invoice dated May 10. |
| I would like to ask about the pricing options. | |
| I am contacting you on behalf of ABC Corporation. | ABC
⭕ I'm writing about the meeting next week.
⭕ Just a quick note about tomorrow's call.
⭕ Quick question about the report —
|---|---|
| I hope you are doing well. |
| I hope this email finds you well.
| I hope you had a great weekend. | |
| I hope everything is going well at your end. | |
| It was great to see you at the conference last week. | |
💡
I hope this email finds you well. I hope you are doing well.
My name is Taro Yamada, and I am a sales manager at ABC Corporation.
I am writing to introduce our new service to you.
I got your contact information from Mr. Brown at XYZ Inc.
Mr. Brown suggested that I contact you regarding this project.

I would like to know if this product is available in Japan.
Could you please provide more information about your services?
I am writing to follow up on my email sent on May 10.
I just wanted to check in on the status of the project.
I hope this isn't a bad time, but I wanted to gently follow up on my request.
I understand you may be busy, but I would appreciate an update when you have a moment.
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
Sorry for the late reply. I was out of the office last week.
Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the delayed response.

I was wondering if you could help me with this.
Please find attached the meeting minutes.
I have attached the report for your review.
I'm sending you the updated file. Please see the attachment.
I would like to schedule a meeting to discuss the project.
Would you be available for a call next Tuesday at 10 a.m.?
Please let me know a few times that work for you.
I'm afraid I need to reschedule our meeting on Thursday.
Thank you for the invitation, but I'm afraid I won't be able to attend.
Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately, we have decided to go in a different direction.
I appreciate the opportunity, but I have to decline this time.
It's been a while since we last talked.
I hope you have been well since we met at the trade show last year.
I'm not sure if you remember me, but we met at the Tokyo conference in March.
Thank you so much for your help with the presentation.
I really appreciate your quick response.
Thank you again for taking the time to meet with me yesterday.
|---|---|
| I look forward to hearing from you. |
| I look forward to your reply. | |
| Looking forward to hearing from you soon. |
| I would appreciate your reply by Friday. | |
| Please let me know your thoughts. | |
💡
I look forward to ~ingは動詞のing形が続きます。I look forward to hearは間違いです。
|---|---|
| Please let me know if you have any questions. | |
| If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. |
| Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything. | |
| I’m happy to provide any further information. |
|---|---|
| Thank you for your time. |
| Thank you for your help. | |
| Thank you in advance for your assistance. | |
| I appreciate your support. | |
| Thanks again for your understanding. |
|---|---|
| I look forward to meeting you next week. | |
| I look forward to working with you. |
| See you on Friday. |
|---|---|
| I would appreciate a reply at your earliest convenience. | |
| Could you please respond by May 20? |
| This is somewhat time-sensitive, so I appreciate your prompt attention. | |
⚠️
Please reply ASAP.
Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding.
|---|---|---|
| Yours sincerely, | ★★★★ |
| Yours faithfully, | ★★★★ | Dear Sir or Madam,
| Sincerely, / Sincerely yours, | ★★★★ |
| Best regards, | ★★★ |
| Kind regards, | ★★★ | Best regards
| Warm regards, | ★★★ |
| Thanks, / Many thanks, | ★★☆ |
⭕ Best regards, ← 1
❌ Best Regards, ← R
❌ Best regards. ←
Best regards,
Taro Yamada
Sales Manager
ABC Corporation
Tel: +81-3-1234-5678
Email: yamada@abc.co.jp

❌ Please kindly send me the file.
⭕ Could you please send me the file?
⭕ I would appreciate it if you could send me the file.
② I want you to ~ は命令に聞こえる
❌ I want you to check the document.
⭕ Could you please check the document?
⭕ Would you mind checking the document?
❌ Dear Mr. Taro, ← Mr. +
⭕ Dear Mr. Yamada, ← Mr. + 姓
△ Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!!!
⭕ Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
❌ PLEASE SEND ME THE FILE TODAY.
⑥ Thank you in advance
△ Thank you in advance.
⭕ Thank you for considering my request.
⭕ I would really appreciate your help with this.
Hello / Question
⭕ Request for a Quotation - ABC Corporation
⭕ Meeting Request: May 21, 10 a.m.
△ Sorry for bothering you. Sorry for the long email. Sorry again.
⭕ Thank you for your time and understanding.

Best, / Thanks, |
I look forward to hearing from you.
OK Please kindlyI want you to!
